Footage recorded on the Gercüş Kırkat Lake road shows the asphalt splitting in two down the middle, with deep cracks and sinkholes in several places. Drivers using the road expressed their bewilderment at the rapid deterioration of the road. The cracks are not limited to the surface; there are also shifts and collapses in the road’s foundation.
