Children’s Campus received high demand in a short time

Huzurkent Children’s Campus, which is among the projects brought to the city by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer, has attracted great attention since the day it was opened. The campus, which serves within the Logistics Center, reached 4 thousand 76 children in 3 months with its daily capacity of 500 people.
The center, which was put into service as the 4th children’s campus after Toroslar, Mezitli and Silifke, has 9 different workshops to develop children’s social, cognitive, sensory and motor skills.
On the campus operating under the Department of Women and Family Services; A wide range of training is provided, from play workshops with mother-child participation to fairy tale drama, from nature and painting hobbies to dance and music rhythm studies. In addition, mind games, design and robotic coding and kitchen workshops give children experience in different areas.
In the workshop programs, each of which lasts 6 weeks, children can switch to different workshops or continue in the same workshop at the end of the process.

“We reached over 4 thousand children in 3 months”
Huzurkent Children’s Campus Unit Manager Guidance Teacher Çilem Özkan stated that the campus started to serve as of January 21, 2026 and said, “We have been serving actively for 3 months. We have a daily capacity of 500 people. We have reached 4 thousand 76 children since the day we opened.”
Stating that they carry out entirely child-oriented activities on campus, Özkan noted that families also have the opportunity to socialize in this process.

Parents and children are satisfied
Leyla Keskin, one of the parents who brought their children to the campus, stated that the campus is an important need for the region and said, “This has become a unique place for us. Our children are developing, and we are socializing.”
Hatun Özkan stated that her children attended music and mental intelligence workshops and said, “We could not send them to other places due to the impossibility. This is a great opportunity for us.”

Children learn with fun
Children who attended the campus also expressed their satisfaction with the activities. Stating that they made new friendships in the workshops and improved themselves with different activities, the children stated that the opening of the campus was an important opportunity for them.
Huzurkent Children’s Campus continues to bring vitality to the region by contributing to the all-round development of children and creating a social area for families.
